For a customer in Amersfoort we are looking for a Functional Application Manager. This customer looks at applications in a different way, namely based on the Garnter pace layer model. They are also in the transition towards the cloud. As a potential new colleague, you will have the opportunity to see what the current environment looks like and then fully contribute to the roll-out and implementation of our ICT strategy!

As a Functional Application Manager, you work a lot with the 'business' and you ensure that users have the right functionalities within our Microsoft Business Central system and other ERP-related software. In this role you will support users of our applications and make a significant contribution to optimizing user processes. The application landscape will be further expanded in the future. Consider, for example, additional applications that translate data into information. We are open to suggestions for improvement, so your vision is very welcome!

The functional application manager is managed by and reports to our CIO. You work on a project basis and work closely with our technical application manager, data analyst and system manager on new processes and process improvements. You are also responsible for handling requests for help and the functional maintenance of the application(s).

Responsible For
The main task of the functional application manager at our customer is to ensure proper operation and user-friendliness of the applications, which can include the following:
  • Managing the functional design, maintenance of generic parameters and company settings;
  • Supporting and guiding users of the application(s) with problems and deviating situations and new processes;
  • Optimizing the use of the application together with users;
  • Thinking along with further development and (re) implementation processes;
  • Participate in projects on improvement and implementation of processes;
  • Writing user manuals.
